About locationaware-specs	English (USA)
The goal of the locationaware.org project is to work closely with browser vendors, device makers, Web-application developers, content providers, and other interested parties to make location-aware browsing a reality. By standardizing the way in which browsers determine user location information and the way in which Web applications obtain that location information -- while still ensuring protection of user control over privacy with regard to sharing of that information -- we hope to increase the overall adoption and growth of location-based services on the Web as a whole. Please join the mailing list and get actively involved in the discussions to help drive the work toward a standard that will benefit everyone involved. Using locationaware-specs
To post a message to all the list members, send email to locationaware-specs@locationaware.org. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to locationaware-specs
Subscribe to locationaware-specs by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a private list, which means that the list of members is not available to non-members. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription.
