[locationaware-specs] Icon Design -- Concepts 1, 2 and 3

More along the lines of the compass rose, many compass images (e.g.  
http://images.search.yahoo.com/search/images? 
ei=UTF-8&p=compass&fr=sfp&b=1) have some indication for the mid- 
quadrants as well (NW, NE, etc.).  That's may too much for such a  
small icon, just tossing it out there.

Another whacky thought would be something along the lines of a  
sextant of mariner ways.  Not sure the universal recognizability, but  
it is a cool device...
