Here's a use case:

Ichiro opens the web browser on his mobile phone and connects to a
location-aware web application. The application displays a 2D,
zoomable (block-level/street-level/etc.) map of his current
position, with his position represented on the map by a small
icon/avatar.

As Ichiro moves (walks/drives/rides), the map scrolls -- in real
time or near real time -- to show his updated position.

Map could also show a 3D heads-up view instead of or in addition
to the 2D map view.
